I once saw a guy play didgeridoo for 20 minutes in an among us hat and emoji shirt here. Special mention to the inflatable hot tub, really didn’t believe more than 7 men could fit in it, but we really got 8 in there didn’t we (why am I sticky?)

this place is even a hair salon!! how slay 💁🏼‍♀️ they bleached my hair and played the talk tuah podcast in the process, talk about brilliant, i call that Megan Fox in Transformers!! Absolutely AMAZING (for all you chopped uncs that don’t get what i’m trying to put down) anyway the johns are chill and always get the vibe right, period.

Saw a band play here a couple times, they sucked. But the bar was epic. 10/10. excellent service and cocktail knowledge from bartender Mitch, highly recommend giving the punch a try. Scenic rooftop views provided by Jax, well accompanied with a warm beer and another warm beer

Took a while for my friends to convince me to come this one because I noticed the front fence was falling down a bit but once I came I had the best time! Mitch shouted me a couple beers and cooked dinner. It was interesting... but edible - would eat again though, vibe were immaculate

Place is crowded with all sorts of creepy crawlys, not the most inviting front door either, and sometimes the place is just plain empty! But I must say, I have never, ever, not once… experienced something quite like The John’s. The people, the environment, the energy… it just cannot be put into words. When you step foot into this madhouse of memories, it’s like walking into a fairy tale! Place is full of heart and must do! Just be sure to wear shoes and wash your hands upon leaving. You could catch something

Best gig of my life occurred at this location. Couldn’t be happier with the service. A special mention to Max for having such nice manners and sharing his homemade stew with me on a fateful evening. A special mention to their new years special cocktail “the Cuban missile crisis” which really started my year off in a positive frame of mine.

Some of my best memories were had at The Johns. My husband and I met here 5 years ago. We’ve now got 5 children. All 5 were conceived at the John’s. My eldest daughter is named John. 10/10 bar definitely pop in.

Max was great, he keeps the place really clean even though Mitch and Jackson seem to constantly try and rectify his progress by being as dirty as humanly possible. I’m talking dirty clothes everywhere, rubbish everywhere but the bin, and the smell from Jackson’s room could only entice the likes of Oscar the grouch. Overall I feel really bad for max but the vibes were unreal and apparently two of them are really handsome and single

Walking into this property is an adventure in contrasting domestic standards. The main house operates on a constant tension: the valiant, often Sisyphean efforts of Max, the undisputed king of clean, battling against the forces of domestic entropy embodied by Mitch and, most notably, Jackson. Jackson appears to be pioneering a new form of modern art where all household items are displayed randomly across all available surfaces. However, once you venture into the back, the experience shifts entirely. The granny flat offers a unique cultural fusion. You'll find Brodie, the Scottish connoisseur of cigarettes and Diet Coca-Cola, maintaining a distinct level of ambient mood lighting and existential contemplation. Alongside him is Harry, bringing a touch of the United Kingdom to the Australian scene. It's a five-boy ecosystem of organized chaos, held together by sheer willpower (Max's) and nicotine (Brodie's). 10/10 would visit again for the sheer entertainment value. Just remember to bring your own hand sanitizer for the main house.
